Folks -
I was wondering if anyone out there in net land has had any experience
using IPXTUNNEL.
I was trying to establish a connection between myself and another LAN
and just can't seem to get it to work.
The only idea I have so far is from the output of IPXTUNNEL. I get
errors like:
WriteEther (unknown addr) frameLen 60 ........
My question is this: by what means is this address unknown? I mean,
how does this program differentiate between KNOWN and UNKNOWN
addresses?
My /etc/ipxtunnel.conf is fairly simple
# Local UDP-port
port 7666
# Remote Hosts running ipxtunnel
remote 198.82.216.37
# Interfaces to use for IPX-snooping and -delivery
interface eth0
----------------------------
I know our two systems are communicating (at least partially) because
at least I don't get those recvfrom udp(failed) messages.
Do I have to specify ALL the hosts that MIGHT be sending IPX packets
in the "remote" section? I think not. That's only specifying the
endpoints of the communications tunnel, right?
So does anyone have any ideas?
TIA,
Shin!
