Hello,

I am having a networking problem with Linux and am wondering if what I
am trying to do is possible. The folling is a desription of the setup
and the problem.

I have my linux box connected to a Win95 network using TCP/IP. I can
access all the services on the linux box from all the machines on the
network.

I have a Pentium running a program named Wingate that allows the
machines on the network to use the ISDN link on it, including Netscape
on proxy.

PROBLEM
=======
I can use netscape on the linux box with no problems, however I cannot
telnet,ftp or ping anything. I would like to know if this is possible.

SOFTWARE
========
I have gated and ipfwadm.

SYSTEM
======
I am using Linux 1.2.13 with ip forwarding, ip multicasting and ip
firewalling compiled into the kernel.

What I need to know is is it possible to use telnet etc. services and do
I possess the correct software to do it.

TIA

Cedric Edwards
