I also have a Adaptec 2940 and a 3COM3c590. The Adaptec is using interrupt
11 and the ethernet card uses interrupt 10 - without specifying any boot
parameters. For the ethernet card i am using the vortex-driver with the
kernel 1.2.13; see http://cesdis.gsfc.nasa.gov/linux/drivers/vortex.html
