SMC Etherpower

I have two P100s each with an SMC etherpower card, connected to the
network. I tried getting them to run using Redhat 3.0.3 (plus fixes
for bugs and kernels up to 1.3.86). I forced the driver to use 100
base T in tulip.c, and it even says (using dmesg) that 100Tx mode was
enabled. ifconfig still seems to think it's a 10base-T. Sorry if I'm
bothering you with a previously asked question, but somehow I'm under
the impression that the bleeding edge drivers might have something to
do with the lack of documentation (I'm not complaining, simply
justifying a potentially banal question). Thanks for your time.

Regards,

Roman
