From: balister@vt.edu (Philip Balister) To: linux-net@vger.rutgers.edu Date: Wed, 26 Apr 1995 20:39:58 -0400 (EDT) I've been using linux/nfs for some pseudo real work. Both PC's are running 1.2.6. Here are my troubles: 1) nfsd 2.0 from slackware from dec 94 infomagic cdrom had a problem with clients getting protection problems on the .. directory on the mounted directories. 2) I grab the latest alpha 2.2 server from linux.nrao.edu. This solves the .. problem, but performance is AWFUL. While waiting for a program to link I grab the 2.1 server from the same place. 3) This works fine. I can link programs to libs on server and the .. problem seems fixed. I sure hope the 2.2 server gets faster before it goes public. Philip
