Ok Ok Ok. No need to be pedantic......
Why not AF_MODEM (AF_POTS) then :)
[stuff about AX25 deleted. point taken with pinch of salt]

I have spoken to him a _long_ time ago when my driver wasn't nearly ready yet
Maybe I should talk to him again......

Not fair! (well, yeah, maybe) I've had about 5-7 requests for this driver
in a year. Not much really. But it _is_ a better card than the 3c501!
And there seem to be people throwing them away left, right and center
(A few big companies bought lots of these in the late 80's it seems 'cause
it seems it was the first card to do TCP/IP on lowly 8086/286 PC's with
Novell LAN Workplace. ) Free Software for free hardware!
Now to all those people with 3c507s lurking on the linux-net list (hopefully)
Could you please mail me so I can send you a test version of the new driver,
if you're willing to test it, that is?
I'd love it if somebody could test multicast/promisc too.
Please suggest where else I could make this public (Donald Becker, are
you listening?)
Thanks,
Dirk
