I have found that both 1.3.60 and 1.3.62 kernels die within seconds
of establishing their dialup ppp links with Aiii: scheduling in interrupt
errors (scrolled up the screen).
I compile my kernel for a 386 processor (which one of my machines is), but
the machine with the problem is a 486DX.
PPP is added as a module. The last errors I have are logged below...
Feb 12 03:23:19 lorien insmod: slhc_free: wrong version or undefined
Feb 12 03:23:19 lorien insmod: slhc_init: wrong version or undefined
Feb 12 03:23:19 lorien insmod: slhc_toss: wrong version or undefined
Feb 12 03:23:19 lorien insmod: slhc_uncompress: wrong version or undefined
Feb 12 03:23:19 lorien insmod: slhc_remember: wrong version or undefined
Feb 12 03:23:19 lorien insmod: slhc_compress: wrong version or undefined
Feb 12 03:23:19 lorien insmod: Failed to load module! The symbols from kernel 1.
3.62 don't match 1.3.62
Feb 12 03:23:21 lorien modprobe: Can't locate module tty-ldisc-3
I will try with ppp built into the kernel
