We have the problem here that ppl dont understand the reason why they need a
hostname at all. They want to make WWW and will receive their mail with
Name@domain.de... Its hard to explain the concept of hostnames and static
IPs to the users. Only a few of them realy have use for static IP's.
The only usefull features is, that after a modem hangup your tcp connection
will remain operable. But this can be solved with clever Dynamic assignment
too (the server tries to assign each user the same address everytime he logs
in. the last recently used address will be recycled. therefore its very
likely to get the same address after an reconnect. user who dieal in every
dail will most like get always the same address.
