I using an ethernet network (coax) of several machines.
At least 5 will have modems and a phone line. I have one
modem on a dedicated phone line that will be dialing in
most of the time for people to check email..etc..
However, as some people like to download alot of information,
and we have the modems already, I was wondering if there
were anything 'fancy' we could do other than all dial in
separately and use ip_masquerading for guaranteeing
access to internet most of the time through the dedicated
telephone line?
Something like EQL or MP ...I understand slirp does something
of this nature, but this would mean the 1 machine would
have to have all of the modems in it, right?
I am dealing with a 'university' dialup system, which has
dynamic ip addresses...and 4 hour time limits.
Any suggestions?
