Also, whats the purpose of having biod on bsd systems and not on Linux?
I recall hearing at one point that someone was indeed working on an in
kernel nfsd/biod via kernel threads. The mmu context switch you save and
user process overhead you save, via this mechanism, would show some
very nice speed improvements. It's probably riddles with some
peculiar races though.
