Trying using an up to date production kernel ie 1.2.13. It has fixes
for other net problems.

However, I checked lpr with Linux 1.2.13 and NT 3.51, and it seems to
hang the same way. Maybe you'll have better luck, I didnt test it
thoroughly as I don't use the NT lpr server - I use Samba and
smbclient if I need to print to NT or Windows.

(I think NT is generally crappy with lpr support: the NT lpr client
causes the lpr server in HP JetDirect cards to abort on most print
jobs.)
