You might want to look at ipfwadm (a replacement for ipfw):

	http://www.xos.nl/linux/ipfwadm/
and
	ftp://ftp.xos.nl/pub/linux/ipfwadm/

It has a manpage for ipfw(4) and ipfwadm(8). It currently only works
on 1.2.x kernels, but a version ported to 1.3.x is being tested now
(it includes support for masquerading and more) and will become
available soon.

Although there are man pages, a list of real-life examples is missing.
This is on my TODO list.
