I'm running linux 1.2.11.
I'm running a machine as web and mail server here at an ISP in Sweden.=20
Our server is suddenly running dead slow under certain periods. It=20
almosts freezes and a lot of processes is going 'D'. Then it is releave=
d=20
again a few minutes later, and the server goes at full speed, all sudde=
nly.
Now, a netstat shows a _lot_ of FIN_WAIT2 sockets belonging to port=20
80(http). It seems that they refuse to close. Is this a known bug that=20
has been fixed in later versions?
We run most files over NFS. The NFS-server serves other computers fine=20
even when our webserver is "freezing".
Ideas?
