Hi,
I am very new to linux and I am trying to tell if I have the ethernet
setup OK. I have a BBS that uses a tcp/ip door to allow a telnet
connection. I think I have my server setup OK but it all doesn't work.

If I ping to the BBS (I don't expect an answer) I can see the recieve
light on the network card on the BBS flash so I know I am sending out
somthing from the server. If I try to telnet from the BBS the light
flashes but the door times out after 60 seconds. If I do a "ps x" I
can see that inetd is running but how can I tell it is looking at the
network card? I don't know if the problem is the BBS end, the server
end or both? Any help appreciated!

Warren
