We are using 10BaseT at our site, and I am trying to get Linux (card is
Eagle NE2000) to recognize at least our Internet gateway. I've done
some RTFM'ing, but I can't seem to get this to work. It seems that
ifconfig sets up route tables, correct? I run netconfig, and answer
all the questions, and then I run ifconfig, and see various statistics
on my card (address, etc).
I run ping to our gateway (or other currently up pc's on our net) and
I get nada. Ping'ing localhost is no problem; I get 0% packet loss.
Anyone got any suggestions? I realize this may be a bit vague, but what
am I doing wrong?
TIA,
