OK i give up! Using kernel 1.2.13 and the stock]
slackware Pro 2.3 distribution. ie: gcc 2.63 and a.out stuff.
I have yet to get ppp2.2c or ppp2.2d working with 1.2.13.

 I can use ppp2.1.2d and once had 2.2a <?> working a little.
Have tried compiling as modules and compiled into the kernel.
Bottom line is that pppd loads and connects fine. ping even
works! I can ping anywhere i want <g> BUT when i try a telnet
 session i get:
kernel: Problem: block on freelist at 006bd40c isn't free.
this message will continuously repeat until telnet is killed.
of course the telnet connection doesn't complete. It does report
the connection but before the login prompt appears it freezes.

Have tried many different compilations with same results. Have
experimented with the 2.2.0.c patches talked about with the same
results. modtools have been updated to 1.2.8. nothing works!

I welcome any suggestions anyone may have for this one. <?>
