Hi, all.
I'm using kernel 1.3.42 and gated 3.5Alpha11 on a Linux box acting as
a router. I understand that there was a problem with route metrics in
the pre-1.3 kernels, which had been fixed sometime in 1.3. However, no
matter how hard I look, I cannot see any metric other than 0 in the
routes installed in the kernel by Gated.
Routes installed manually (through /sbin/route) show correct metrics.
The routing protocol in use is RIP v.1. RIP packets generated and
recieved also carry correct metrics.
Thanks in advance for any tips/help.

It is the mind that moves.
P.S. Linux makes a phenomenal router -- ask me about it!
