Archie says that the entry is in the 'sunacm' mirror which sunsite maintains
for sunacm.swan.ac.uk (or its new location which escapes me now.) In the
'Other' directory, there should be gated -- at least according to archie.

I found several mirror sites with the aid of archie. From the mirror
sites, they led me to one of the big mirror sites in the U.S.A.,
ftp.uu.net.
The ftp.uu.net system has it in /networking/ip/routing/gated.
If you go there, it will say that the files are mirrored from
gated.cornell.edu. The "GATED_HAS_BEEN_MOVED" file indicates that the
new location is ftp.gated.merit.edu.
(It would seem that ftp.uu.net needs to update their mirror software
file to reflect the new location. -- cc archive@uunet.uu.net.)
Ok, on to ftp.gated.merit.edu. After some browsing, you will find that
you need to start at / and not /pub. That leads you to net-research
which has a 'gated' directory in it. In the 'gated' directory, you
will find the source.
Enjoy. [ftp://ftp.gated.merit.edu/net-research/gated/*]
(Finding easter eggs in an easter egg hunt is much quicker but not as
much fun.)
