I'm trying to get slip and ppp working with an xylogics annex box at
work. I;m the Linux end and a colleague is the annex end. He claims
it does slip and ppp with some FTP software from windoze and ppp from
NT. But I can't get it to work with Linux. I get the same symptom with
both ppp and slip. I can connect to a cisco machine run by the univerity
with 0 problems.
The symptom is: Everything goes OK with slip and pp, the connection is
successfully configured. I ping the router's address or a host across
it. I get one return ping, then nothing. It appears that the annex and
the linux box stop talking.
I realize the problem is probably on the other end, but does anyone have
ANY ideas. We are pulling out hair over his.
Kernel 1.2.13, just installed from RedHat-2.0.
Thanks,
Philip
