Hi all,
I'm releasing an alpha version of my kernel-based nfsd. It's a loadable
module and a bunch of user-space programs (mountd, nfsd, exportfs). It
is not yet complete, many of the features supported in the exports
file are not yet available in the module itself. I'm mainly releasing
it to get some feedback on stability, throughput, etc.
Note that there is still a `minor' stack overwrite problem under heavy
load. I have not yet found out which NFS operation causes that, but I
assume that it happens in nfsd_proc_write. The kernel messages indicate
that the stack grows beyond the bottom of the nfsd process's
kernel_stack_page. Any suggestions on how to cope with this are greatly
welcome.
You can find the code on ftp.mathematik.th-darmstadt.de in
/pub/linux/okir/dontuse.
Cheers
Olaf
