The method I have working simply involves PROXY ARP -- some machine on
the "real" net (easiest with a Sun or linux box) has published,
permanent arp entries for IP addresses of all of your "home" machines
which return the Ethernet address of "real" side gateway. Then you
just have to convince it to send the packets across -- the Portmaster
has a route table that you edit to tell it to route all of those
addresses to your "home" side gateway IP address.

The "home" linux box may need some clever routing to do the right
thing; I lie to it about the local net being a .128 subnet (on a .192
mask) and it manages to do the right thing.
