BAGHDAD Iraqi officials say two more attacks have struck busy areas
in Baghdad, raising the death toll from a day of violence to
32.The officials say a triple car bombing tore through an outdoor market
in a southeastern suburb, killing at least nine people. That was followed
minutes later by a rocket that killed a bystander near a gate
of the Green Zone, the site of many government buildings and foreign
embassies. The deadliest of Wednesday's other bombings took place across
the street from the Foreign Ministry building, when two parked cars exploded
simultaneously in different parking lots, killing 12 people.Nobody has claimed
responsibility, but the attacks bear the hallmarks of al-Qaida-led Sunni
insurgents who are battling the Shiite-led government.
