agency says the countrys top prosecutor has ordered ousted President Hosni
Mubarak be detained for 15 days pending investigation into a new case
of corruption by him and his family for pocketing state funds slated
for the presidential palaces. Mubarak, 84, in detention since April 2011,

says the country's top prosecutor has ordered a new investigation into corruption
allegations against ousted President Hosni Mubarak, a move that will keep
him detained during his upcoming retrial. The 84-year old Mubarak heads to
court April 13 over his alleged complicity in the killing of hundreds
of demonstrators during the protests that ultimately forced him out of office
in February 2011.An Egyptian appeals court had overturned in January Mubarak's
life sentence, citing shoddy procedures and ordering the retrial.Mubarak,
in detention since April 2011, is currently held in a military hospital
due to poor health. The new investigation focuses on accusations that Mubarak
and his family pocketed state funds designated for the presidential palaces.
He faces additional questioning over a period of 15
entions of North
Korea's new young leader, Kim Jong Un.Meanwhile, North Korea has been angered
by increasing sanctions and ongoing U.S.-South Korean military exercises,
which have included a broad show of force ranging from stealthy B-2
bombers and F-22 fighters to a wide array of ballistic missile defense-capable
warships. The exercises are scheduled to continue through the end of the
month. This past week, the U.S. said two of the Navy's missile-defense ships
were moved closer to the Korean peninsula, and a land-based system is
being deployed to the Pacific territory of Guam later this month. The
Pentagon last month announced longer-term plans to beef up its U.S.-based
missile defenses. While Washington is taking the North Korean threats seriously,
U.S. leaders continue to say that they have seen no visible signs
that the North is preparing for a large-scale attack. The defense official,
who was not authorized to speak publicly about the Minuteman 3 test
delay and requested anonymity, said U.S. policy continues to support the
building and testing of its nuclear deterrent capabilities. And the official
said the launch was not put off because of any technical problems. The
globe-circling intercontinental ballistic missiles make up one of the three
legs of America's nuclear arsenal. There are about 450 Minuteman 3 missiles
based in underground silos in the north-central U.S. The other two legs
of the nuclear arsenal are submarine-launched ba

Michael Sullivan, state Rep. Daniel Winslow and businessman Gabriel Gomez. The
general election is June 25, for the open Senate seat of Democrat
John Kerry.Another environmental group spending big money to defeat Lynch
is the NextGen Committee, which has reported spending more than $196,000,
according to Federal Election Commission filings. The group is backed by
California billionaire Thomas Steyer, who has called on Lynch to oppose
the pipeline. NextGen has spent $54,700 for an aerial banner that read
"Steve Lynch says: Go Habs! And Go Canadian Dirty Oil."The banner appears
to question Lynchs loyalty to the Boston Bruins. The "Habs" is the
nickname for the Montreal Canadiens. The banner was flown over downtown
Boston ahead of a matchup between the two hockey teams.NextGen also spent
more than $50,000 for video mobile billboards and $40,000 for online advertisements.
That's an apparent violation of an agreement signed by Lynch and Markey
known as the "People's Pledge," which is designed to discourage radio, television
and Internet ads by outside groups. If there is a violation, the
candidate who benefits agrees to pay half the cost of the ad
to a charity named by their rival.Markey has made environmental issues one
of his top priorities and the focus of a television campaign ad
that highlighted his role in holding BP responsible for the 2010 oil
spill in the Gulf of Mexico.Another big supporter of Markey is the

TAMPA, Fla. Florida authorities are hoping good weather will improve their
chances of tracking down a sailboat that may be carrying two boys
kidnapped from their grandparents' home. The Hillsborough County Sheriff's
Office says Joshua Michael Hakken entered his mother-in-law's house north
of Tampa early Wednesday, tied her up and fled with his sons,
4-year-old Cole and 2-year-old Chase.Authorities are searching for a boat
Hakken recently bought. It's described as having a blue Bimini top, white
mainsail, and a blue hull with the word "Salty" and a paw
print in white on both sides, with a white stripe near the
water line. There is possibly a yellow horseshoe life preserver on deck.Sheriff's
office spokesman Larry McKinnon tells The Tampa Tribune (http://bit.ly/12xyjhY)
that good weather means more recreational and boaters will be on the
water and able to help in the search.Storms had been moving along
the west coast of Florida and in the Gulf of Mexico last
week, but conditions improved Saturday and Sunday.Federal, state and local
authorities are searching for the sailboat by sea and air. Pictures of
the vessel also have been distributed at local marinas.Hakken, his wife
Sharyn and the boys could be anywhere, McKinnon said. The truck the
family had been traveling in was found late Thursday, abandoned in a
parking garage in Madeira Beach."The Gulf of Mexico is 200,000 square nautical
miles," said McKinnon. "We are looking up and down the
