Screen Machine II C-API 1.2 - LIVE VIDEO DEVELOPMENT TOOL
Munich, August 15th - interpersonal-computing happily
announces the new, free release of the successful, live
video development kit for the Screen Machine II.
Screen Machine II
=================
This famous board allows high quality frame grabbing and
live overlay video even on high resolution systems.
The Screen Machine II C-API allows all developers to
design their own applications with integrated live video.
The new release of this kit fixed problems reported by
the large community of users.

color resolution 24-bit true color (16.7 million colors)
digitizing time 1/50 (PAL), 1/60 (NTSC)
video inputs composite & S-Video, 3 inputs, software
selectable, up to 4 Screen Machine IIs per PC
video standards PAL, NTSC, SECAM
bandwidth 14.75 MHz
geometric resolution 768 x 576 (PAL), 640 x 480 (NTSC),
square pixels
max resolutions 1024 x 768 @ 76, 1120 x 832 @ 68
image format YUV 4:2:2, conversion to TIFF 24 bit

Technical Support

We don't grant technical support on this release. Nor
does FAST offer any UNIX support. We also can't answer
on each single e-mail, please post instead to the Linux
NEWS groups:
comp.os.linux.development.apps
comp.os.linux.hardware
There are many Screen Machine II users out on the net
and we simply can't answer the same simple questions
always again. May be we will post an answer there, but
we won't give specific support for the free release.
Nevertheless feel free to e-mail your suggestions or
reports to us. In the some cases you may find a developer
interested in your comment or problem.

This release of the Screen Machine API for Linux is
distributed as "Public Domain" under the restrictions of
the CopyRight and this license agreements. You may not
delete, remove or alter any trademarks, copyrights or this
license agreement. There are NO ShareWare or any other fees.
You may use this release for:

evaluation

private fun
academic research
You may copy and distribute this release only for your
private use or further disposals on the internet/ftp.
ANY COMMERCIAL USE OR COMMERCIAL DISTRIBUTION OF THIS
DRIVER OR LIBRARY IS PROHIBITED!
Commercial use is the integration of this library, driver
or files in any product, which is not freely available, has
any fees on it or is used in a commercial surrounding. This
includes any software which is produced with this library.
We have a special distribution release, run time driver
agreements, printed manuals and support for commercial users.
Due to the fact, that we need a special piggy-back board to
run multi tasking platforms this internet release is
restricted to 640x480 live video resolution on screen. This
doesn't affect digitized images.
