Announcing the release of JLib beta version 0.9
===============================================
  I have uploaded to x2ftp.oulu.fi the file jlib_0-9.zip, which is the
beta version 0.9 of the JLib library. I expect it to be moved to the
pub/msdos/programming/djgpp2 directory, where it will replace jlib_0-6.zip,
which was an earlier beta version.

What is Jlib?
=============
  Jlib is a gaming/graphics library for DOS (using DJGPP) and Linux/GCC.
It provides simple graphics primitives, offscreen buffers and sprite
functions, and includes some documentation,demos and miscellanious stuff.
A 320x200 (DPMI compliant) target is provided for DOS and linux, and a
640x480 mode based on libgrx is also available for DOS. Early X support is
included but won't be updated for about a month. Other targets will hopefull
be added as the existing ones firm up.

  Jlib comes as full "C" source code in a ready to build fashion (with
makefiles) to keep the archive size down. Installation instructions are
included for DOS and Linux users. It compiles under both the v1.13m4 and
beta v2 versions of DJGPP and should work fine with C++, Windows, OS/2 etc.

  Jlib is 100% free, Therefore it comes with absolutely no warantee. You
are free to use JLib code in any product subject to the terms described
in the included file "readme.jon" (!=GPL). Jlib is copyright(c) 1995
Jonathan Griffiths.

  This beta version lacks some functionality (specifically input) but is
otherwise stable.  Good luck!

       Jon Griffiths.
