Boot disks with the Aztech/Wearnes/Okano/Orchid cdrom
driver (by W. Zimmermann; avail at ftp.gwdg.de in
/pub/linux/cdrom/drivers/aztech) are now available
at sunsite.unc.edu.
The images are used for installing Slackware from
one of these CD ROM drives. Note that this driver
is for these drives with the PROPRIETARY interfaces;
not the EIDE drives.
The file aztech.gz.README contains instructions on
using the boot images.
The file azt1_09.gz is a boot disk using the 1.0.9
kernel. Thus, it should most likely work but doesn't
have the newer features.
The file azt1182.gz is a boot disk using the 1.1.82
kernel. It has all the EIDE drivers included in it,
so that you can use EIDE hard disks.
SCSI support is compiled into both kernels. Note however
that the Buslogic and Ultrastor drivers do not compile
in the 1.1.82 kernel, but I have no way to test if my
quick-fixes worked. (As patches become available I'll
upload fixed boot disks.)
