Hi folks!
My 'kernel configuration system' (kcs) is now made available to the public.
It should soon appear on sunsite.unc.edu, filename is 'kcs-1.0.tar.gz'.
kcs is a dialog oriented tool to configure your linux kernel. It works
well for all 1.2.X kernels up to 1.2.11 (and should work on newer releases,
as well).
kcs requires bash, sed, awk, and dialog (v0.4 or above).
kcs is a drop-in replacement for the standard configure script, and uses
and maintains standard configurations. You can configure with both
methods intermixingly and still maintain the *SAME* configuration.
The sound driver may *NOT* be configured with kcs (because sound driver
config is still braindead!), but of course you always can do a 'make
oldconfig' after running kcs, in order to get sound configured.
Please send any suggestions/bugs/fixes to me!
Joe
