I have written a little Linux kernel patch which allows to measure the
performance of a Pentium CPU. The patch is for the kernel versions 1.2.8 to
1.2.10. This patch adds a new 'cpuperf' file to the 'proc' filesystem.
Further information and the patch are available at the server 'ftp.uni-kl.de'
in the directory 'pub/linux/Kernel/Patches'.

Try it and let me know

Karl
