Version 2.0h of the JAZZ midi sequencer for Linux has been released.
This is the second official release of this impressive MIDI tool for
Unix/X-windows. If you liked version 1.0 you will sure love this one!
Features include:
- 2 main windows displaying tracks and single midi events
- Record/Play
- powerful and easy event editing
- volume, pan, chorus, reverb, program, name, .. per track
- trackstatus: mute, solo, play
- quantize, velocity, notelength, transpose, copy, replicate,
erase, merge, move, meterchange, ...
- load/save midi standard files, format 1
- multiple undo
- ...
New features in version 2.0h include:
- Client/server design - allows sequencer and driver to run on different
machines. Means that sequencer can run on any Unix/X11 box, not just Linux
- Support for all 317 Roland GS sounds (not only the 128 GM sounds)
- Mixer window (slider control of volume, pan, chorus, reverb)
- Supports altering of sounds (cutoff frequency, resonance...), vibrato,
pitch wheel sensivity, modulation depth
- GS Reset support
- FSK tape sync support (if supported by interface card; works with
the original Roland MPU-IPC/T card)
- A lot of bug fixes and improvements
