This is the second release of patches for /proc/dev, applicable to
Linux 1.1.74. It is a rewritten version of the first patch in order to
be more flexible. The new kernel will have a directory dev in the proc
directory, which contains registered devices. These devices can be used
for updating /dev by copying them and setting their access permissions.
An example script is contained to demonstrate it.

There are also patches to register devices for the lp, hd and fd
driver, as examples on how to change device drivers. Patches for the
transputer link driver are available per email if you want them. The
patches are available per ftp from:

  cantor.informatik.rwth-aachen.de, pub/linux/procdev.tz

Happy new year to everybody,

Michael "I will release it still this year" :)
