This is a version of the nn newreader with an
integrated X interface produced using TCL/TK.
NN is a heavy duty newsreader and theTK interace
adds extra features inluding two different
group selection menus, MIME handling and an internal
editor.
It is available in
susite.unc.edu:/pub/Linux/system/Mail/news
The binary is
nn-tk.b11.1.bin.tgz
and is compiled with TK4 linked statically
and the X11R6 libraries linked dynamically.
It can be used with either local news files or
via NNTP.
The source is
nn-tk.b11.1.src.tar.gz
and can be compiled into either nn or nn-tk. The nn
version has a few advantages over the usual nn a command
for reloading the newsgroup info while running and a
option for not reading the active file on startup
(usefull for slow NNTP connections).
