Hi All Linux users.
X11-QMR Ver 1.4, the QWK offline mail reader for Linux is out.
BUG FIXES
==========
Version 1.4 has the following bug fixes.
1) The Message selection list now selects the indicated message, and not
the next message.
2) The zip and unzip commands can now be controlled via the environment to
maintain compatibility. QMR had a problem with new versions of unzip.
3) The Justify and Random tagline option buttons actions are no longer
swapped. Ie. they now do what they say !
4) Re edits of replies don't muck up any more.
NEW FEATURES:
=============
News Mode
What is News mode ? Well since QWK is such a limited
(stupid ?) format, it is totally unsuitable for Usenet
News. To this end techniques have been developed to allow
a QWK mail message to be used as a source for news.
This is accomplished by including the needed information
in the actual message body. This is needed as the standard
QWK message header is too small to even contain some names
used for newsgroups. Three basic fields are needed, News-
groups: Subject: and From:.
