[August 7, 2024, 9:13 AM] Hey everyone, I thought it might be fun to start a conversation about our favorite comfort foods. Sometimes it's nice to share those little things that bring us joy. For me, it's got to be my grandmother's mac and cheese recipe. It's nothing fancy, just pasta, cheese, and some breadcrumbs on top, but it always takes me back to childhood meals at her house. Looking forward to hearing your favorites! Best, Nicole [August 7, 2024, 10:02 AM] Hey Nicole, Great idea! My favorite comfort food has to be chicken soup. It reminds me of cold winter days when my mom would make a big pot, filling the house with its warm, hearty smell. It's simple but comforting. What about everyone else? Cheers, David [August 7, 2024, 11:17 AM] Hi Nicole and David, For me, it is all about mashed potatoes. Growing up, it was a staple at our family dinners, especiaIly around the holidays. Even now, whenever I feel a bit down, mashed potatoes with a bit of gravy just lifts my
spirits. Anyone else have something less traditional? Take care, Sophia [August 7, 2024, 12:45 PM] Hey everyone, Fantastic topic, Nicole! For me, my ultimate comfort food is lasagna. It was always a family event to make it together on Sundays. We used to layer it with different cheeses and my mom's speciaI meat sauce. It's a bit of work, but the nostalgia and the rich, indulgent flavors are worth it every time. Best, Marc [August 7, 2024, 2:15 PM] Hi all, I can't resist chiming in. For me, it's definitely homemade chocolate chip cookies. My grandmother and I used to bake them together whenever I visited. There's just something about the smell of fresh cookies and that first warm bite with melty chocolate that makes everything feel right with the world. Looking forward to hearing more favorites! Best, Emily [August 7, 2024, 3:30 PM] Hi team, Just had to join in. My comfort food is a bit more unconventional: It's kimchi fried rice. Growing up in a Korean household, my mom would
make this when we had leftover rice and kimchi. It's spicy, savory, and incredibly satisfying. Now, whenever I make it, it's like a warm hug in a bowl. Can't wait to see more! Cheers, Jin [August 7, 2024, 5:00 PM] Hi everyone, Loving all these comfort food favorites! Mine has to be a classic grilled cheese sandwich with tomato soup. It's simple but deeply comforting. My dad used to make it for me whenever I had a rough day at school. The crispy bread with the gooey cheese always brings back those comforting memories. Hoping to hear more delicious stories! Warm regards, Rachel
