Subject: FTAPE - NEW KERNEL PATCH
Organization: n/a
Keywords: ftape, tape drive, floppy tape, patch
Approved: linux-announce@news.ornl.gov (Lars Wirzenius)
Followup-to: comp.os.linux.development.system

FTAPE 2.02 - available on sunsite.unc.edu in /pub/Linux/Incoming as:

 657 Mar 21 10:32 ftape-2.02-patched.lsm
 88858 Mar 21 10:30 ftape-2.02-patched.tgz

Will eventually be moved to: /pub/Linux/kernel/tapes

I simply patched the source with the new kernels patch, and changed the
source that complained about an incompatible pointer type. It now should
compile without any warnings on the new kernels. I have sucessfully
compiled it and used it to back files onto a Conner 420MB without any
problems in kernel versions 1.2.0 and 1.2.1.

Steve
