I. Introduction and Overview :

CMan, is a form of a rolodex to allow a person to keep track of
groups of people in an organized fashion. It was developed for business
and personal usage. The idea is to store a top layer of names called groups
to seperate a clutter of names, phone numbers, addresses, etc. Below groups
exist the names of people/organizations belonging to that group, which is
the second layer. The final layer, the third, is the actual information
about the person/business/organization. All the layers are sorted in
alphabetic order, this is to provide an easier way to view the layers.

Why was this developed? There is a need for a management system
like this, so that finding business/personal information would be available
not only on the host computer (the console), it would work over dumb terminals
as well. If say your away from a console and decide to dial-in, you could
rest assured you will be able to bring up the information you need. With this
the keyboard keys must work on any workstation or text based terminal. The
application uses plain keyboard keys, not special keys, unless otherwise noted.

As time goes on new features will be added and improvements on current
features as well. Remember this version is freeware.

IV. History :

v1.1 - cman, CMan Contact Manager, third official rel., this was
a major release. Added: defineable colors, default video modes
underline and reverse video, Find feature, Load feature,
an actual document on this puppy, and removed more bugs than I
care to mention. Yes, there are still some bugs lurking
               (mainly in the interface).
v1.0b- db , DB Contact Manager second official rel., many bugs fixed.
v1.0 - db , DB Contact Manager first official rel., had problems.
v.01 - db , DB Contact Manager first internal rel., buggy as hell.

V. Compatibility with previous versions :

Relax, you can use your previous data files with this version.
