?s Peak High School, and Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair*
Salt. The taste was everywhere in my mouth. And yet I couldn?t get it out. =
I dragged my body out of the ocean and onto shore. 15 other students were a=
lso there, sopping wet and looking at me with curiosity.=20
?Guess that?s the last of us, huh?? Said a boy with white hair sticking out=
in all directions. I figured he was Komaeda, and he looked much better sin=
ce the last time we had met.=20
I looked behind me, there was no one there. Not even the ship. Just blue. H=
ow deceiving. The ocean looked so calm but it was yet capable of so much da=
mage. ?Y-yes, I suppose so-? A girl with long purple hair stuttered.=20
?Hinata?? I looked to where the voice had come from. And I saw her. Nanami.=
Just my luck. I had to watch over these Remnants as a favor for that Enosh=
ima girl, and of course I would be stuck with her.=20
?Yes?? I really wished that she wouldn?t call me that, but it seemed like t=
he only name she knew to call me. It reminded me of before, a before I didn=
?t even know about. I had tried to see who I was before, to see if this ?Hi=
nata? boy had become friends with her, but my attempts were fruitless.=20
?Do you know where we are?? She asked, her face full of confusion, she seem=
ed like she genuinely didn?t know where we were. How boring. ?Jabberwock Is=
land.? I replied, what had been a bustling tourist attraction, known for ha=
ving summer weather all year round, was empty. However, it seemed in good s=
hape, there was no rust on any of the machines, and there was no peeling pa=
int on any of the buildings.=20
?Jabberwock Island? You mean the popular tourist attraction?? Said Komaeda.=
?How lucky that we were shipwrecked here, of all places.?
?I wouldn?t say lucky, this was our original destination, the lucky part is=
that we were so close.? I stated. ?How boring, I thought you would know.?
?But there?s no one here, stupid. And anyway, why are we all standing aroun=
d looking like idiots? It?s stupid.? A girl with blonde hair said.=20
?Why don?t we go and explore? We?re wasting time just talking.? Said Nanami=
I heard that there were other islands, let see if we can see what?s on th=
is one, and then move to the others- if we can. That?s a good plan-I think.=
?
******************* A week later*************************
The helicopter came with no warning. We all had been living on the one isla=
nd, since there was no bridge in between them. We could see the other islan=
ds of course, but we could only travel to the other islands by boat, and no=
ne of us could make one. We had debated if someone could swim, but the dist=
ance was too far. We all lived separately, since the hotel was big enough f=
or all of us. Apparently, everyone had checked out in a rush, since all the=
hotel keys were there. No one really talked to each other, though we had t=
he occasional conversation. It was hard to escape talking to other people s=
ince we were all stuck on an island. But a week after we had initially arri=
ved, a helicopter came. We had no idea how it had found us. But we were gla=
d, nonetheless because we were able to leave. And go back to our normal liv=
es, or what was left of them. I saw it first. I spotted a dark spot in the =
sky. So, I craned my head towards the sky. It came closer, and closer, unti=
l I could make out what it was. A helicopter. I was on the beach watching t=
he waves, I did this a lot when I was bored which was a good part of the da=
y, there was something calming about watching the waves go in, out, in, out=
, back and forth over and over. That morning, Chiaki was with me. She alway=
s tagged along with me, and I had grown used to it. We sat there, watching =
the waves. ?Hey, Hinata? What are you looking at?? She asked, curious. ?I t=
hink that?s a helicopter. And it looks like it?s coming towards us.? I repl=
ied.=20
She looked up at the sky. The helicopter was closer now, and it didn?t take=
much effort to see it.=20
?Ah, I see it! I have to tell the others!? She scrambled up and dashed towa=
rds the hotel. Within 7 minutes, Chiaki had gathered everyone, several of w=
hich were unhappy because they had been woken up so early. ?So, what?s all =
this talk about an airplane?? Said Owari.=20
?It?s not an airplane, it's a helicopter, stupid.? Saionji snapped. ?Calm d=
own guys.? Said Nanami. At this point, the helicopter was so close we could=
hear it. We watched speechless, as it landed. Right in front of us. Two bo=
ys came out. They were dressed in back suits. ?So this is where they?ve bee=
n hiding, Naegi? Jabberwock Island. They almost had us fooled. Enoshima too=
k a lot of precautions hiding them.? One of them said. ?Hello, we're here t=
o help.? Said Naegi. ?We?ve come to rid you of despair.?
?A-and why should we believe you?? Said Mioda. ?Well, we came all the way t=
o help you guys, and it wasn?t easy, believe me.? Said the man. ?We?ll give=
you one day to make your decision.?
********************Later that night*********************
I spent the night staring at the stars with everyone else. We still hadn?t =
decided to go or not. Everyone was silent, we sat there on the beach. And t=
hen I don?t know what possessed me, but I spoke up. ?I believe we should go=
? I said. Everyone looked at me curiously. Then Nanami, who seemed to be s=
purred on by my outburst, also stated her decision. ?Yes, we should go. It =
would help us right? To get rid of it once and for all. Deep down, I know y=
ou guys know it too. I-I think.?
?Yeah, count me in!?
Slowly, everyone agreed that we should go.=20
?Well, since it's decided, let?s go to bed then. We?re going to have a big =
day tomorrow.? Said Nanami. Even though it was dark, I swore she smiled.=20
Before I went back to my hotel room, I stole one last look at the stars. Th=
ey twinkled back at me, almost reassuringly. Well, I thought to myself, I n=
eed to go to sleep. Tomorrow is going to be a good day.--->=20

<p><span style=3D"color: #ffffff;">It was a normal day in the Aegean Sea =
for Poseidon. Or so he thought, little did he know his trident would be sto=

<p><span style=3D"color: #ffffff;"> </span></p>=20
<p><span style=3D"color: #ffffff;">In Poseidon's palace. "WHERE IS I=
T?!" he thundered. Triton, his godly son, just swam in and asked "=
;What's happening? Why's dad so angry?" Delphin, the dolphin god and o=
ne of Poseidon's most trusted advisor said "Big Man's lost his trident=
, if we don't find it fast, he'll tear up the entire Aegean Sea!" It w=
as true, because since Poseidon was the sea god, the sea usually reflected =
on his emotions. Since Poseidon was so panicked, the sea was beginning to b=
ecome very stormy. "Hmmmmmmmm. Who could have stolen a trident?" =
wondered Triton. "Dunno man, but I think it might be one of the gods p=
laying a trick on Poseidon. Of course, what kind of lunatic would mess with=
Poseidon out of all the gods? He's literally one the strongest gods in exi=
stence!" Triton knew. Only a few gods would dare challenge Poseidon. H=
is siblings were the only ones who would dare play a trick. He doubted it w=
as Hestia, but the others would be likely. Zeus, Hades, Hera and possibly D=
emeter could have taken Poseidon's trident. But why? "Come on, Delphin=
We need to ask the other gods if they know where Poseidon's trident is.&q=
uot; They went to Zeus first, who was in the Olympians throne room listenin=
g to some boring wind presentation. He was happy for an excuse to have a br=
eak, even for 5 minutes. However when the two gods asked about Poseidon's t=
rident, his eyes went into thinking mode. "You know", said Zeus &=
quot;I don't have Poseidon's trident, but I did sense some godly aura in Sp=
ain. Maybe that's where Poseidon's trident is." "Thanks Zeus!&quo=
t; said Triton. "We'll check it out!" At the bottom of Mount Olym=
pus. "Ok, well we know it's not Zeus. But what kind of god would go to=
Spain out of all places? "I dunno man, but let's check it out." =
They went to Spain. "I know my father's trident is here." Triton =
said. "I can feel its aura."</span></p>=20

re!" Two hairy dwarfs? or something was carrying the trident over thei=
r heads. They leapt over the roofs of houses and headed straight towards on=
e of the moving boats. "Delphin! Quick!" Triton was running now, =
and Delphin was swimming towards the boat with the hairy dwarfs and Poseido=
n's trident. Quickly Delphin knocked the boat over, and the hairy dwarfs an=
d the trident went spilling out. Triton lunged for the trident. But the hai=
ry dwarfs regained their balance mid-air, grabbed the trident and disappear=
ed. Triton missed the trident and landed in water. Delphin asked "What=
happened to those hairy dwarfs?" Triton said "I don't know, I've=
never seen anything like that." he admitted. Triton annoyingly though=
t of where the hairy dwarfs would try and go. Let's go ask one of the other=
gods. Maybe they know who those hairy dwarfs are, and where they're going.=
"Wait! Look, they left a book." Triton picked it up. It read, Bo=
ok of Farming. Property of Triptolemus. "Who's Triptolemus?" aske=
d Triton to Delphin. "He's one of the minor farming gods. His home bas=
e is in Venice, Italy. "How about this. I'll go visit Triptolemus for =
information, while you track down the trident and those hairy dwarfs."=
"Ok!" said Delphin. Then Delphin disappeared into the North Atla=
ntic Ocean, and Triton hoped he'd be able to track down those sneaky little=
thieves. Triton then went to Venice, Italy. That was the easy part. The ha=
rd part was finding where Triptolemus was. He decided to poke around, and h=
oped he'd have some good luck. Meanwhile with Delphin: Delphin had swam acr=
oss the North Atlantic Ocean, only stopping for short breaks because he kne=
w his boss needed his trident real bad. A tsunami had already destroyed the=
coasts of Turkey and Syria, and Delphin wasn't eager for another one. Fina=
lly Delphin saw land, and found out he had swam directly into New York City=
Then he saw them at last. Those sneaky little dwarves were on top of the =
Statue of Liberty. Normally he'd have respect for these s</a>mart creatures=
But since they had boss's trident, he couldn't afford to go easy on them.=
Only one problem. Delphin may had been good at swimming, but not so good o=
n land. He was clumsy since he had no legs, and he couldn't climb something=
as high as the Statue of Liberty without something bad happening. Plus tho=
se dwarves were fast and sneaky. They'd see him from a mile away. No, the o=
nly way he could get to the dwarves is if he lured them close to the water,=
where he would be much more powerful than the dwarves. He studied the dwar=
ves. After watching them for more than an hour, he concluded something. The=
dwarves liked, no loved shiny stuff. They had shiny daggers, trophies, gol=
d coins and other stuff. Delphin looked for something shiny. Only problem w=
as, he didn't have any shiny stuff. Suddenly Delphin had an idea. He morphe=
d into a human and shouted "OH NO, MY PRECIOUS GOLD COINS HAVE DROPPED=
INTO THE SEA!" "HOW WILL I EVER GET THE<a style=3D"color: #fffff=

ally scrambled down the Statue of Liberty and leapt into the sea. Delphin c=
hanged back and chained them to a dock in the pier they were at. "Who =
are you sneaky little thieves?" Delphin snarled. The dwarves looked at=
each other. And suddenly burst into tears. "Please don't kill us!&quo=
t; they chanted. "First." Delphin said. "What are your names=
?" "I'm Passalos and my brother here is Akmon." "Now ca=
n we go please! We'll never steal from you again!" "Two more ques=
tions", Delphin said "One. Where does Triptolemus live?" &qu=
ot;La Casa Nera! Calle Frezzeria!" Now can we leave?" Delphin sai=
d "One more question. You had a trident, WHERE IS IT?" The two dw=
arves looked at each other sand said "Please don't kill us! But we los=
t it!" The two dwarves burst into tears again. "Fine, fine. But d=
o you know where the trident is?" asked Delphin. "The two dwarves=
exclaimed "We touched it, then thought, please bring us to land! and =
it took us here. But we lost it, and the shiny book!" "If you giv=
e us the shiny book, we'll help you find the trident!" Delphin narrowe=
d his eyes. The dwarves didn't seem too trustworthy. However Delphin NEEDED=
that trident. "Fine. I'll go to Venice to find the book. When I have =
it, I'll tell you and you meet me back here with the trident. Remember, no =
trident, no trade." The dwarves exclaimed, "Deal!" Delphin s=
ighed. Another long swim through the North Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterra=
nean Sea to Italy. He said "Triton, the locations for Triptolemus's ba=
se is La Casa Nera, Calle Frezzeria. I'll meet you there and tell you what =
happened between me and the dwarves." "Ok, on my way to the locat=
ions you gave me." See you soon Delphin!" Delphin began his long =
swim to Italy. Back with Triton: After 4 full days of searching, Triton had=
no luck finding Triptolemus. Suddenly Delphin sent some locations and a me=
ssage saying he was swimming back towards Italy. Triton decided to scout th=
e locations Delphin gave him, so that they would be prepared to meet Tripto=
lemus and in case if anything bad happened. The next morning, Delphin final=
ly made it to Italy. After Delphin had a long rest, they knocked on the doo=

se?" asked Triton. "Granted!" said Triptolemus, looking a bi=
t confused. Triton sat down and showed him the book. Triptolemus went from =
confused, to surprised, to grateful. "Thank you!" said Triptolemu=
s. "How did you get this from those nasty dwarves?" "We barg=
ained for it." lied Delphin. "Ok, so anyway, what can I do for yo=

"Oh, I know." said Triptolemus. "Those pesky dwarves stole =
it. I saw it dangling from one of their pouches." "No, the dwarve=

te, please?" asked Triton. "Why, sure!" Triptolemus answered=
Then suddenly looked confused. "It's supposed to be right here?"=
; He said confusingly. Then the dwarves busted in, Passalos tossed the trid=
ent to Triton, while Akmon snatched the book out of Triptolemus's hands. &q=

made a break with the trident, but the Ttiprolemus's chairot blocked the wa=
y. Triptolemus himself however, was too busy chasing the dwarves to care ab=
out Triton and Delphin anymore. "Your welcome!" shouted Akmon fro=
m a distance away. Triton stabbed one of the snakes from the chariot, and t=
he chariot veered away, and Triton and Delphin both jumped into the Mediter=
ranean Sea, and swam away. They reached Poseidon's palace, but it was pure =
chaos. However, Poseidon was renewed with joy when he saw his trident. He r=
aised it up and said "PEACE TO THE SEAS, FOR I HAVE FOUND JOY, BECAUSE=
MY TRIDENT HAS BEEN FOUND!" On the steps of Poseidon's palace, Triton=
and Delphin received one last message from the dwarves. Hey, Passalos and =
Akmon here! We escaped the wrath of Triptolemus with our new shiny book! Bu=
t we have one more confession to make, especially to Delphin. We didn't los=
e the trident, we just hid it on a nearby ship so you wouldn't find it, and=
so we could get out book back. When we found out you were going to Venice =
to see Triptolemus, we assumed you already had the book there. So we follow=
ed you on the ship we stored the trident with. Thanks for the shiny book, a=

orange and red. It's mane and tail were flaming and it's eyes were coal-bl=

a black rock with veins of lava and a flame of fire engraved on it. The fir=
