Hi,
I've uploaded new patches against binutils-2.5.2 and gcc-2.6.3 on tsx-11.
These patches allow building of binutils-2.5.2 and gcc-2.6.3 as both native
and crosslinker for Linux/MIPS and Linux/68k targets. Please replace the
old tools with the new ones - the old ones are obsolete and won't work anymore.
The patches are available in

I've built ready to install binary packages for Linux/i386 and Sparc running
either SunOS 4.1.3 or Solaris 2.3. The last two are untested. They are

If there are people out there that require binaries for another hostmachine
or that have built the tools for another machine, please mail me. I'm
especially interested in binaries for the MIPS based DEC machines.
Most people - especially foreigners - will prefer to use the mirror sites due to the
much higher bandwidth. Mirror sites include:

List of changes (incomplete...):
- Fix the binutils prototype problem with basename(3) and libc-4.6.27.
- Fixed the %hi, %HI and %lo operators in gas for MIPS targets.
- Due to the strong interest in Linux for R3000 based machines
the compiler now defaults to R3000 code, no more R4600.
- Added new relocation type required to build libc for MIPS.
