Suddenly, the pieces are starting to fall in place for the young team.=
Over the last week, Brandon Ingram has led the way with 25.0 points, 6.8 r=
ebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.8 blocks per game. Zion Williamson is not far be=
hind, averaging 23.0 points, 5.8 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 2.0 blocks per g=
ame. Even the role players are playing better. Lonzo Ball hit 55.6 perce=
nt of his 6.8 3-point attempts per game. Steven Adams averaged 9.0 rebounds=
per game. JJ Reddick found himself back in the lineup and hitting shots wh=
ile awaiting a trade. The fit problems persist and a trade is still like=
ly imminent in some form or fashion, but this week was promising. There is =
a clear vision for how the team should work. When Williamson can play at th=
is level of efficiency, the vision gets that much clearer. Against the Memp=
his Grizzlies, he had 29 points and only missed four shots. Against the Pho=

This Week: 2/10 at Dallas Mavericks, 2/12 vs. San Antonio Spurs, 2/13 vs=

This was always going to be a brutal week for the Atlanta Hawks. They ha=
ve had plenty of issues with health and were facing down the top teams in t=
he Western Conference, a reeling Dallas Mavericks squad in desperate need o=
f a win and the improving Toronto Raptors. The fact that the week ended wit=
h one win turned into a minor miracle. John Collins, Trae Young and Clin=
t Capela have been quite good. Collins was actually the best player for the=
Hawks this week, something that is a rare statement for this team. Against=
the Dallas Mavericks, he looked like a star, putting up 35 points and 12 r=
ebounds. He was the leading scorer for Atlanta and did what he could to kee=
p the team in games. All that praise aside, it is telling that the one w=
in of the week came in a game where he was tied as the third leading scorer=
and Clint Capela and Trae Young were clearly better. Capela does not get e=
nough hype around the league but he is having a great start to the season. =
He has had double-digit rebounds in every game this season except for his f=
irst appearance, where he grabbed nine. He is leading the league in rebound=
s and isn?t slowing down soon.---->=20
