IPAcct - a program to do per user ip accounting

This messages announces a new release of ipacct.
This small program adds per user ip accounting to the kernel. It exports
this accounting information via the proc filesystem.
The program accounts all bytes sent or received on the IP-level, i.e. all
headers get accounted including the IP-Header itself. For every IP address
a weight can be specified. So you can ignore traffic to the local host or
the local net in the accounting statistics. Furthermore you can specify
higher weights for very expensive connections. You can modify the weight
table in a manner very similar to the syntax of the route programm.
Ipacct also allows you to view the accounting information and the kernel
weight table which also gets exported via the proc file system in a pretty
format.
