Hello,
this is to announce a new version of the set of patches and utility
programs to make a system boot via network. This will allow a diskless
system to run Linux. The new version not only includes the patch to
mount the root fs via NFS but also to place a swap file onto a NFS
filesystem. This will allow a diskless system to run a X11 server, for
example. However, especially the NFS swap patches still require some
testing, so please try this out and mail me about your experience.
Note that this patch is relative to version 1.1.86 of the kernel, and
will probably not work with older kernels. Also the bootrom code has
been patched significantly, and now runs in a real EPROM.
