This is the new FIDOGATE release 3.9
There have been lots of changes since version 3.8, and several minor
releases from 3.8.1 to 3.8.9 and 3.9.0beta0.
New features:
* Major improvements to the scanner/tosser
* Scripts for unpacking, running the tosser
* Gating of complete Usenet hierarchies
* Message-ID / ^AMSGID handling according to
FIDO-Gatebau '94 recommendation
* Return-Receipt-To / RRREQ processing
* Recombining of split messsages
* New post processor script for ftn2rfc
* New script for ffx rmail commands
* Several new utilities
* Improved compile-time configuration
The tosser is now suitable for FIDO nodes processing huge amounts of
mail passthru, supporting everything from address remapping to zone
gating. There is no provision for writing to message areas and dupe
check, though.

Gateway Software UNIX <-> FIDO

This is FIDOGATE, a gateway software between the worlds of FIDO (and
FTNs, Fido Technology Networks in general) NetMail/EchoMail and the
UNIX mail/news system. FIDOGATE will convert FIDO mail packets to
RFC-style messages and vice versa.
See file doc/fidogate.txt or doc/fidogate.ps for detailed (well, sort
of ... ;-) instructions on how to compile and install FIDOGATE.
