'mod' is a program that is used to play music stored in various
module-formats. Only the Gravis Ultrasound (and MAX) is supported at
the moment.
This is mainly a bugfix release. The only new thing is that it now
works with the newer Tcl 7.4/Tk 4.0 (comes with Slackware 3.x). Older
Tcl/Tk will also work, but support will be dropped if/when it becomes
a pain to maintain.
See the included CHANGELOG for details of the changes since version 0.8.
Requirements:
Gravis Ultrasound soundcard
VoxWare sounddriver >= 3.0
Linux kernel >= 1.2.0
Ncurses >= 1.8.5, preferably >= 1.9.3 (optional)
Tcl 7.3/Tk 3.6 or (preferably) newer (optional)
'mod' can be found at (when it's been moved from incoming/upload):
sunsite.unc.edu:/pub/Linux/apps/sound/players/mod-v0.81.tgz
The archive is about 130k.
Please send me any feedback you might have, good or bad. I am especially
interested if you know of a module that plays incorrectly (if you don't
tell me, chances are I'll never find out).
