Although I looked to see if xmille had been ported by someone else to X11R6
before I decided to do it myself and release it, I apparently didn't look hard
enough. Keith Packard has informed me that he did such a port, which is
available in the X11R6 contrib distribution, e.g., from
<URL:ftp://ftp.x.org/pub/R6untarred/contrib/programs/kgames> (and from
ftp.x.org's mirrors).
I am therefore removing my distribution from all of the FTP servers on which I
placed it, and I will no longer be maintaining a distribution separate from
Keith's.
Note, however, that I did come up with a few patches to Keith's distribution,
one of which fixes a serious bug. I will make my patches wavailable in
<URL:ftp://ftp.cam.ov.com/pub/users/jik/xmille-patch>. I don't know when
these patches will make it into the version of the program distributed by the
X Consortium, since I don't know how they deal with patches to programs in
their contrib distribution.
