I just uploaded my hack of the BSD talk daemon to sunsite.unc.edu.
It has been modified in 2 ways:
* Invisibly filters out VT100 bombs ("Flashes") and logs
flash attempts.
* Allows you to play an audio (.wav, .au, whatever) file
to notify you of incoming talk requests. Obviously this
will only work when you are at the console, and if it is
equipped with a soundcard. It includes a .wav of a
telephone ring, but you must have your own wav player
(I recommend Sox, also found on sunsite). You may also
choose to use a plain old PC speaker beep if you want.
It is in /pub/Linux/Incoming (for now). Here is the LSM:
