A 72-year-old former employee of a Florida trucking company went on a
shooting spree Saturday, attacking former co-workers and his ex-boss, killing
two and wounding two more before killing himself, authorities say.Hubert
Allen Jr shot the men at several locations in and near the
North Florida community of Lake Butler, according to a Union County Sheriff's
Office news release.Authorities said Allen shot and killed former co-worker
Rolando Gonzalez-Delgado, 28, around 9 a.m. According to MyFoxOrlando.com,
he then headed to the company owner's farm, where he shot and
killed a farmhand and the owner, Marvin Pritchett.A few minutes later, he
pulled over where another former co-worker was driving a farm tractor, exchanged
words with him and then fired one shot from a shotgun, authorities
said. That victim, 66-year-old Lewis Mabrey Jr., was in good condition and
receiving surgery for a broken arm and other injuries. Not long after that,
Allen went to the company's headquarters and shot 44-year-old David Griffis
in the stomach, the release said. Griffis was in critical condition.Authorities
say Allen then returned to his Lake Butler home and killed himself.
He was described as a longtime employee of the trucking company.Investigators
were working at the five shooting scenes late Saturday and interviewing
witnesses and company employees. The news release said they were working
to determine a motive. The trucking company's website says it employs 400
deal on principal.APBobbys imagination got the better of him when he started
bragging to friends that he knew New York Jets superstar Joe Namath.
Naturally, his friends didnt believe him, so sister Cindy stepped in and
wrote Broadway Joe a letter claiming that Bobby was critically ill and
his last dying wish was to meet the quarterback. Cindys plan worked,
but not before having their fraud discovered by mom and dad. (Side
note: Why was Bobby, who lived in what was then Rams country,
a Jets fan?)APGreg was somehow tasked with caring for a goat that
was swiped from Coolidge, a rival high school. Because of nosy siblings
and an acoustically favorable air vent, the mascot, named Rachel, is misunderstood
to be a girl that Greg had snuck into his bedroom. As
a result, Greg and dad Mike had the most sexually suggestive conversation
in the series run.APMarcia, drunk with power after landing the coveted job
of soda jerk at the local ice cream parlor, turned into a
real jerk when her sister Jan ended up working with her. Despite
Marcias ambitions to become managerand eventually partnerof the shop, their
boss, Mr. Haskell, decided that Jan is just a little bit better
than Marcia at the job, and she got the boot.APMidway into the
fifth season, the Bradys welcomed a small, round-headed interloper into
their tight-knit family. Well, perhaps welcome isnt the right word. Cousin
Oliver was labeled a jinx and never really fit in with the
Brady clan. Om

<p style="font-size:xx-small;">In this undated photo provided by the U.S. Forest Service, the Rim
Fire burns near Yosemite National Park, Calif. (AP Photo)Firefighters in
California braced for another rough day Sunday in their efforts to gain
ground on a wildfire that has burned its way into Yosemite National
Park.Strong winds, some of which could reach speeds of between 30 and
40 miles per hour, could push the raging fire further into the
northwest edge of the park, threatening thousands of rural homes. More than
5,500 homes are already threatened and at least four have been destroyed.Meanwhile,
park officials are clearing brush and setting sprinklers to protect two
groves of giant sequoias. The iconic trees can resist fire, but dry
conditions and heavy brush are forcing extra precautions to be taken in
the Tuolumne and Merced groves. About three dozen of the giant trees
are affected."All of the plants and trees in Yosemite are important, but
the giant sequoias are incredibly important both for what they are and
as symbols of the National Park System," park spokesman Scott Gediman told
the Associated Press Saturday. The trees grow naturally only on the western
slopes of the Sierra Nevada and are among the largest and oldest
living things on earth. The Tuolumne and Merced groves are in the north
end of the park near Crane Flat. While the Rim Fire is
still some distance away, park employees and trail crews are not taking
any chances.Jessica Sanderson said one of her rel
of an investment banker. She grew up fascinated by
movies, later saying she thought of herself as plain-looking and turned
to acting as a way of becoming other persons. She made her stage
debut at the Grosse Pointe Country Day School in "The Hunchback of
Notre Dame" at age 14. In the years that followed, she studied
drama in finishing school, prep school, Yale University and the Actor's
Studio. Before "Knots Landing," Harris made numerous guest-starring television
appearances on dramas and was a regular on two quickly canceled series
-- "Thicker Than Water" in 1973 and "The Family Holvak" in 1975.Her
Emmys were for performances in two "Hallmark Hall of Fame" presentations:
"Little Moon of Alban" in 1958 and "Victoria Regina" in 1961.Harris was
married three times, to lawyer Jay I. Julian, stage manager Manning Gurian
and writer William Erwin Carroll. She had one son, Peter Alston Gurian.Funeral
arrangements are pending.
