Jan. 31, 2014 - Riot police face barricades in central Kiev, Ukraine.APKIEV,
Ukraine Ukraine's embattled president has signed a bill offering amnesty
to protesters on condition that demonstrators leave government buildings
they have occupied. The opposition did not support that bill, accusing President
Viktor Yanukovych of taking demonstrators as hostages. It insists that protesters
must be freed without any conditions. The law was aimed at defusing a
two month-long political crisis, in which protesters have called for Yanukovych's
ouster.
East Rutherford, N.J., is planning a block party for a certain really
big football game scheduled to take place in the borough on Sunday.
(FoxNews.com)But the town of just under 9,000 is not allowed to promote
the event using the words "Super Bowl," thanks to the NFL's legal
team. (FoxNews.com)So instead of referring to the biggest event in the town's
history, the town is using phrases like this one to promote its

sports world is converging on East Rutherford (pop. 8.978) for Sunday's
game between the Denver Broncos and the Seattle Seahawks, and all the
town wanted to do was have a little block party for locals
not rich or lucky enough to have tickets. The NFL can't stop the
party, but they did bar East Rutherford from using the phrase "Super
Bowl" in any description of the humble event, set to take place
Sunday afternoon in the shadow of the town's most famous building, MetLife
Stadium.- Michael Hildebrandt, lifelong East Rutherford residentDo I feel
snubbed? Mayor James Casella replied when asked by FoxNews.com if he thought
it was fair. This is the way it has always been, I
never expect more.So Sunday's event, at which main drag Park Avenue will
be blocked off, live bands will play and local restaurants will serve
up food and drink in the open air, will be dubbed The
Meadowlands Tailgate Party Live from East Rutherford. The town's website
trumpets a "Game Da

<p style="font-size:xx-small;">NEW YORK It's puppy love for the record books. The Labrador
retriever was the nation's most popular dog breed last year for a
23rd year in a row.The American Kennel Club said Friday that's the
longest that any breed has been top dog since the organization's founding
in 1884.German shepherds, golden retrievers, beagles and bulldogs are holding
steady in the top-five pack. Yorkshire terriers, boxers, poodles, Rottweilers
and dachshunds round out the leading 10. It's the same as last
year. But the French bulldog is newly on their heels. It's now the
11th most popular purebred. That's up from 14th last year
and 58th in 2002.The poodle had a 22-year reign as number 1
some decades ago.The rankings reflect newly registered dogs, mostly puppies.

slain British roommate, Meredith Kercher, expressing sympathy for the legal
ordeal that continues more than six years after she was stabbed and

very fact that they don't know what happened is horrible," Knox said."They
deserve respect and the consolation of some kind of acknowledgement," she
said. "I really wish them the best."Kercher's sister Stephanie and brother
Lyle were in the courtroom in Florence for the Thursday's verdict."It's
hard to feel anything at the moment because we know it will
go to a further appeal," Lyle Kercher said. "No matter what the
verdict was, it never was going to be a case of celebrating
anything."Knox's former boyfriend, Raffaele Sollecito, has been prohibited
from leaving Italy while the case continues."I don't know what I would
do if they imprisoned him. It's maddening," Knox told GMA.And she is
not ready for the possibility she could be extradited to Italy to
