," Bradshaw said.That's when a sergeant
fired three times, once to the torso and twice on the lower
part of the body. The man was taken to Delray Medical Center,
where he died. The injured police officer and the teen were also taken
to the hospital. Their conditions were not available. Bradshaw said the
10-year-old boy injured himself trying to go under the gate to get
away from the man.The sheriff said investigators are trying to figure out
the man's identity and to get some background information on about him.Bradshaw
said the man was "obviously on some kind of narcotics to act
like this.""The deputies had to do what they had to do to
disable this guy so he didn't get into this gated community and
wreak havoc in there," Bradshaw said. The incident is reminiscent of a 2012
attack in Miami in which a naked man attacked a homeless man
and chewed off much of his face. The man, Rudy Eugene, was
shot and killed by a Miami police officer. Witnesses said he had
been swinging from a light pole minutes before the attack. Lab tests
found only marijuana in his system. The victim in the Miami attack, Ronald
Poppo, lost his left eye, his nose and most of the surrounding
skin.
Israeli settlers live
in the West Bank and east Jerusalem. The Palestinians want to establish
a state in those territories as well as the Gaza Strip, all
captured by Israel in 1967.Tzipi Livni, the chief Israeli negotiator, told
Israel Radio on Wednesday that some members of the governing coalition are
opposed to any kind of peace agreement and that recent verbal attacks
on Kerry by hardliners are "shocking.""Ministers and others are speaking
in a way that upset me as an Israeli," said Livni. "There
are people who don't want to reach an agreement. They don't care
what Kerry will present."Israel's coalition is divided on the peace talks,
with Livni and others pushing for a deal while hawkish ministers oppose
any agreement based on Kerry's anticipated outlines.Kerry is expected to
present a framework to guide the remainder of the talks, featuring his
vision of a final peace deal. While Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas signaled
flexibility in recent comments, a number of Israeli ministers have voiced
hostility to Kerry's peacemaking efforts.Pro-settler minister Naftali Bennett
threatened Tuesday to bolt the coalition if his party deems Kerry's proposal
unacceptable."I told the prime minister, present a document and then we
will judge. If this thing does not meet our values, we won't
be in the government," Bennett was quoted as saying.Earlier in the week,
Israeli media quoted Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon as saying if Israel doesn't

<p style="font-size:xx-small;"> BUENOS AIRES, Argentina Argentina's security secretary says seven first-responders
were killed battling a fire that destroyed an archive of bank documents. The
fire at the Iron Mountain warehouse took hours to control and the
sprawling building appears to be ruined despite the arrival of at least
10 squads of firefighters Wednesday.Security Secretary Sergio Berni says
the dead include five firefighters and two civil defense workers who were
killed when a wall of the building collapsed on top of them.National
civil defense director Alberto Crescienti says nine others were hospitalized
with serious injuries.Buenos Aires civil defense director Guillermo Montenegro
says the archives contained banking documents. The cause of the blaze isn't
immediately clear. Iron Mountain advertises that its facilities have multiple
protections against fire.
NEW YORK Four people are in custody on drug charges after
police executed search warrants at three apartments in New York City.Police
say undisclosed quantities of heroin and marijuana were found Tuesday night
in the apartments in a lower Manhattan building. They say three of
the people lived in the building. All four three men and
a woman face charges of criminal possession of a
controlled substance. Two of the suspects also face charges of criminal
use of drug paraphernalia.Police wouldn't say why they had search warrants
for the apartments. They say that "at this time," they aren't linking
the arrests to their investigation into the death of Oscar-winning actor
Philip Seymour Hoffman.Hoffman was found dead Sunday in his apartment with
a syringe in his arm.
