Several prominent Republican senators accused their GOP colleagues of "secretly"
negotiating a sweeping immigration overhaul, urging them to open up about
the details by next week. The letter from Republicans on the Senate Judiciary
Committee marked the latest flare-up in the GOP caucus over the immigration
plan, which has not yet been introduced. Republican negotiators have urged
their colleagues not to pre-judge the proposal, but others are getting frustrated
by the lack of hard details and concern that majority Democrats will
try to "rush" the bill through after it's introduced."We believe it is
critical that the public and the entire Senate body be given adequate
time to read and analyze the contents of any immigration bill put
forth by the majority," the senators wrote in the letter Thursday to
the four Republican negotiators: Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, Arizona Sen.
John McCain, Arizona Sen. Jeff Flake, and South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham."Because
the president has failed to lead on this matter, your group has
secretly met for months and not consulted with members of the Committee
about major changes to our nation's immigration laws. The time for transparency
has come," they wrote. The lawmakers asked to be briefed by staff
no later than close of business Monday, and asked for a caucus-wide
briefing early next week "so that all members can raise concerns and
questions before the deal is finalized."In response, Rubio, R-Fla., said

The SeaWalk, a structural outcropping that takes guests 28-feet beyond the
edges of the ship, with a glass floor showing the 128-foot drop

ship has its own outcrop with glass floor as part of the
SeaView Bar. The view below should keep drinkers in their seats.New Dining

<p style="font-size:xx-small;">FILE: April 4, 2013: President Obama waves after his arrival at Buckley
Air Force Base, Colo.APConfronting bipartisan criticism, President Obama
conceded Saturday his proposed budget is not his "ideal plan" but said
it offers "tough reforms" to the nation's benefit programs while closing
loopholes for the wealthy, a mix that he argued will provide long-term
deficit reduction without harming the economy. In his first comments about
a budget he is to release Wednesday, Obama said he intends to
reduce deficits while at the same time providing new spending for public
works projects, early education and job training."We don't have to choose
between these goals - we can do both," Obama said in his
weekly radio and internet address.Obama's budget calls for slower growth
in government benefits programs for the poor, veterans and the elderly,
as well as higher taxes, primarily from the wealthy. Some of its
details, made public Friday, drew a fierce response from liberals, labor
unions and advocates for older Americans and prompted an unimpressed reaction
from Republican House Speaker John Boehner."It's a compromise I'm willing
to accept in order to move beyond a cycle of short-term, crisis-driven
decision-making, and focus on growing our economy and our middle class for
the long run," Obama said.Obama proposes spending cuts and revenue increases
that would result in $1.8 trillion in deficit reductions over 10 years,
replacing $1.2 trillion in aut
 entire west
coast from Pensacola to the Keys and the Intracoastal Waterway. It is
a vast area."Investigators believe Hakken stocked the boat with supplies,
but it wasn't known if the couple was armed, McKinnon said. Authorities
have previously characterized the Hakkens as "anti-government."An Amber
Alert for the boys has been issued in Florida, Louisiana and other
states. The boys had been living since last year with their maternal grandparents,
who were granted permanent custody Tuesday. Joshua Hakken lost custody of
his sons last year after a drug possession arrest in Louisiana, and
he later tried to take them from a foster home at gunpoint,
authorities have said. The Hillsborough Sheriff's office has issued an arrest
warrant for Joshua Hakken on charges of kidnapping and several other counts."We
want to hear from them. Let him have a voice. That is
very important. He has a voice," McKinnon said. "We certainly can't fix
anything if we can't talk to him. We are willing to listen."
