I attempted to reply to an article and the system refused to
let me post it because I had more included text than new text in the
article.

get rid of this "feature"!!
I added some BS to the end of the article and got it posted... I suppose I
could make up a ten line .sig to avoid this, but I hate people who do
that because the sig contributes nothing.
