I'm sorry for the delay in responding. In the future, please use a
"Subject:" line in your mail messages. Occasionally, people reading
mail to bug-sipb will only scan the subjects, to try to find the
messages concerning programs that they are knowledgeable about.

To answer your question, you can't use the bwrite program to address
messages to a domain hostname such as multimedia2.univalle.edu.co.
It only works with BITNET node names, which are always 8 characters or
less in length, and consist only of letters and numbers (no '.' or '-'
characters, for example).

The hostname you mention is in Colombia. These are the names and
locations of the BITNET nodes in Colombia:

ANDESCOL University of Los Andes - Computer Center - Bogota
CIATCOL Centro Internacional de Agricultura Tropical
ITECCOL ITEC - Division de Investigacion - Bogota
JAVERCOL Pontificia Universidad Javeriana - Bogota
   UCARTCOL Universidad de Cartagena
SENECA Universidad de Los Andes, Bogota
   UJCCOL Universidad Javeriana de Cali
UNALCOL National University, U.S.C. - Santafe de Bogota
UNORTEVM Fundacion Universidad del Norte, Barranquilla
UNORTEV2 UniNorte - Centro de Computo - Barranquilla

In order to communicate via bwrite, the person in Colombia generally
needs to have a login account on one of these specific systems. If
they only have some other type of BITNET access, e.g., they receive
mail indirectly via a BITNET connection, then communication via bwrite
almost certainly won't be possible.
